Connect
InVantage Connect is the UK's most widely used CREST messaging system for the management and control of CREST holdings. Connect automates the generation, sending and receiving of messages to CREST and can integrate the back office with a number of CREST gateways including Syntegra, SWIFT and the London Stock Exchange. The system facilitates reconciliation between CREST and the back office view of CREST holdings.
Connect maintains and reports a parallel image of a firm's CREST settlement and custody positions, a feature that affords users important cost savings. By holding the complete transaction history in Connect, ad hoc enquiries and reconciliations can take place without the need for additional CREST messaging. This significantly reduces messaging traffic and the associated costs of data transactions relating to the reconciliation process.
Connect can be preconfigured to send appropriately timed messages to CREST requesting that all information required by the system is downloaded and stored locally in Connect. User-defined messages alert CREST upon authorisation of a trade. These messages updating the back office with cash and stock posting information will then automatically update the back office system.
